This Week is Teen Read Week!!!

This week we are celebrating reading "For The Fun Of It!" It's a week long celebration / campaign to remind everyone that reading does't have to be a chore... You can read for fun! AND read what you like & want! So here at the library we are going to be taking surveys of your favorite books.
At the end of the week, I will be making a "catalog" of your favorite books, and posting them on
Library Thing. library Thing is an online book Catalog that you create! Once we have this catalog started, I will continually keep updating it with book titles YOU CHOOSE!
And... When you come to the library all this week, make sure to see me (Librarian Dave Jones) for a free gift!
It's our way of saying thanks for using & supporting our library, and celebrating Teen Read Week! And be sure to keep checking for our new personal Teen Catalog of books chosen by you!

Halo 3 Now In Stores! & Halo 1 Tournament Sat. Sept. 29th @ 5:00 PM

This past Tuesday marked the long awaited release of Microsoft / Bungie's Halo 3. The (supposed) last chapter in the Halo trilogy takes place on Earth, with its defensive forces all but obliterated. The planet has fallen to the unstoppable might of the Covenant. The Master Chief's AI companion Cortana is still trapped in the clutches of the Gravemind - a horrifying Flood intelligence, and a civil war is raging in the heart of the Covenant. This is how the world ends... But there is more when the aliens discoverer something beneath the ancient African sands called the "Forerunners". The Forerunners are an extinct alien race that built the huge artificial ringworlds called Halos, and all the Halo games have focused on the mystery surrounding these strange objects.

Below is the official trailer that goes with the plot summary.

Now, below you will find my ALL-TIME favorite video game trailer. Now that it is becoming popular for video game makers to promote their games with movie trailers, let me know what is your favorite.

And don't forget to come to the Halo 1 (trial) Tournament on Sat. Sept. 29 @ 5:00 pm

And incidentally, we took another vote and decided to show the following anime:

More Saiyuki.
